Utopia Salon & Day Spa has been a client of Transformation Marketing for quite some time. However, we just recently recreated their website and began assisting them in their social networking efforts. The changes we have made have been very successful and we are excited to roll out their new website.

When Utopia asked us to help with their social efforts, they had a Facebook “friend” page and no other types of social media. Because of Facebook’s strict policy on having business pages as friend pages,we knew they needed to make the switch to their new Utopia Fan Page. (See our blog on Business Facebook Profiles in Danger of Deletion) Utopia agreed to offer gift cards as an incentive for their “friends” to make the switch to “fans”. By day 16 of the push, Utopia had 230 fans on their new page, 100 of which hadn’t been connected on their friend page before. (100 NEW connections!) Utopia also added Flickr, Tumblr and Twitter accounts to their social push. Utopia now has 291 Facebook fans, 200 Flickr photo views and 46 followers on Facebook. We have also since added FourSquare and Gowalla to their social accounts. (Check in next time you’re there!)
